Embedded Linux and Cloud Software Developer (C/C++ or Rust, Go)

About the role

You will join the local team in Alicante building a network monitoring solution for companies. Your focus will be the service running on the hardware sensors: it orchestrates measurements and communicates with the cloud platform, from which it receives configuration and to which it sends results and alerts. You will work on both embedded Linux and the cloud backend, so you will be able to carry a complete functionality from the device to the API. The product belongs to an international technology company specializing in network measurement and analysis.

What you'll do

• Develop the Linux user-space service of the sensors, in C/C++ or Rust according to your preference.

• Work also in Go on the cloud backend.

• Apply device-to-cloud security: device identity and provisioning, certificate-based authentication (mTLS), and secure storage of credentials on the device.

• Maintain the agent's CI/CD.

• Write unit and integration tests for the agent, and tests for the device-to-cloud path (agent against a test environment or device emulation), with quality gates in CI. Tests written with the help of AI are reviewed and assumed by their author.

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in C/C++ or Rust.

• Experience developing in embedded Linux.

• Willingness to also work in Go on the cloud backend.

• Knowledge of device-to-cloud security: device identity and provisioning, mTLS, and secure storage of credentials.

• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.

• Fluent English, both oral and written.

• Daily use of AI agents for programming: specifications, review, tests, and quality gates.

• Orientation toward taking responsibility for your work from start to finish.

• Interest in the networking field: motivation to learn wired and wireless protocols and apply them to solve customers' network problems.

• Knowledge of networking technologies.
