Pantherun is a cyber security and data communications company that has designed a One-of-a-kind Chip and software based Intellectual Property for secure Ethernet Communication using Artificial Intelligence techniques.

Our IP, enables users to integrate secure communication into any chip or product they decide to build or even put into FPGA on their boards. We use of AI based key generation to encrypt data using AES and implement the approach.

Job Description – Protocol Engineer
We are seeking a Protocol Engineer to contribute to the development of Layer 2/Layer 3 Ethernet protocols using FPGA platforms. The ideal candidate should have practical experience in developing ethernet switch products from concept design to final product. experience in security and artificial intelligence integration is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement L2/L3 Ethernet protocols on FPGA platforms.
• Develop and maintain software modules for Ethernet networking protocols and AES IP.
• Porting and optimizing AI algorithms for embedded systems.
• Develop high-quality code for random number generators.
• Execute manual and automated testing; report, track, and debug defects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, FPGA, and system architects.

Required Technical Skills:

• A high level of domain knowledge in L2 and L3 Ethernet switching and routing protocols & applications, particularly IEEE 802.3 (Ethernet) and covering 802.1Q VLANs, 802.1D STP, 802.1W RSTP, IGMP Snooping.
• Understanding of ethernet switch Hardware Architecture and Schematics is a plus.
• A high level of Programming skills using C in Linux embedded platforms, familiarity with Python and Java is a plus.
• Experience in middleware development and protocol stack implementation.
• Experience with debugging tools for embedded or protocol development.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies such as AES, IPSec, or SSL/TLS is highly desirable.
