Embedded QA Engineer - IEFP Internship (m/f/d)

The role

You will be responsible for the Verification and Validation processes inside the team, guaranteeing the compliance and functionality based on requirement specifications.

What your weeks look like

Test Strategy and Execution
  • Perform the requirement analysis and test specification;

  • Execute functional, performance, operability, and load tests;

  • Implement and execute White, Grey and Black box test approaches;

  • Perform manual tests to facilitate the automation strategy;

  • Write and maintain test cases in collaboration with the development team;

  • Perform in-field testing in real world scenarios

Automation and Tools
  • Develop and execute automated tests, considering the industry best practices;

  • Create and maintain test plans with automation in mind;

  • Contribute to our internal validation stack;

Technical Knowledge and Software Development
  • Understand and troubleshoot microcontroller and embedded mixed-signal systems;

  • Implement and debug C/C++ and Python code independently;

  • Conduct all phases of Embedded Software Quality assurance;

Process and Quality Improvement
  • Contribute to the software life cycle management process;

  • Enforce quality monitoring and internal KPIs;

  • Create detailed documentation for the testing life cycle;

What we're looking for

Must Have:

  • BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar field;

  • Experience with electronic lab tools (scopes, probes, analyzers, etc);

  • Hardware knowledge in analog and digital systems;

  • Knowledge of version control software and/or continuous integration software;

  • IEFP eligibility;

  • Fluency in English.

Bonus Points:

  • Knowledge of test automation and tools assisted testing.
