What You'll Do
- Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software using C and Rust
- Modernize existing embedded C software by migrating it to Rust
- Develop software for ARM processors, embedded processors, and System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms
- Integrate software with firmware, hardware, and embedded systems
- Troubleshoot processor, memory, peripheral, and low-level hardware issues
- Develop and execute software testing and debugging activities
- Create technical documentation and maintain software configuration control
- Collaborate with software, firmware, hardware, systems, and cybersecurity engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 2+ years of professional embedded software development experience
- Professional experience with both Embedded C and Rust
- Experience developing software that runs directly on embedded hardware
- Experience with ARM processors, embedded systems, or SoC platforms
- Experience integrating software with firmware and hardware
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of embedded software development experience
- Experience migrating embedded C software to Rust
- no_std and heapless Rust
- ANSI C
- Python
- OpenOCD and GDB
- Bare-metal or RTOS development
- Real-time or resource-constrained embedded systems
- Secure communications, COMSEC, or cryptographic systems
- Aerospace, defense, or other mission-critical development environments
