Embedded Software Developer
Summary
Develop embedded firmware in C/C++ for advanced robotic systems, designing and maintaining low-level interfaces like SPI, I2C, and CAN-bus.
Salary: £50,000 - 60,000 per year
Requirements:- Hands-on experience in embedded firmware development using C and C++.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar field.
- Experience with embedded system architecture design, implementation, and maintenance.
- Experience working on complex projects and finding solutions using advanced robotic systems.
- Knowledge of network interfaces and protocols including SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and CAN-bus.
- Understanding of electronic PCB design.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality products.
- Experience with bare-metal real-time systems and/or real-time operating systems (RTOS).
- Experience with MBED and STM32 microcontrollers.
- Interest in low-level motor control and PID.
- Ability to reliably commute to London SE10.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- At least 2 years of embedded experience.
- Collaborate across electronics, mechanical design, and software teams.
- Participate in daily Scrum stand-ups.
- Support sprint planning, reviews, priority management, and Agile retrospectives.
- Create firmware for new and existing products.
- Write efficient, high-quality, maintainable code and conduct code reviews.
- Drive product development from concept and deployment through to future maintenance.
- Collaborate internally and externally to support efficient project delivery.
