Embedded Software Engineer C++ (m/f/x) 1561

As an **Embedded Software Engineer (m/f/x)**, you will play a key role in the development of next-generation semiconductor test solutions. Working closely with system architects, hardware engineers, application software engineers you will design and implement high-performance software that directly interacts with complex electronic systems.

## Your responsibilities:

• Build expertise in the area of Advantest V93000 SmartTest **Digital Device Drivers and Embedded Software**, as well as the underlying hardware architecture
• Develop high-performance **embedded software and device drivers** for **Linux-based** systems
• Design, implement and optimize **C++ applications** and hardware abstraction layers with a focus on reliability, performance and maintainability
• Work with industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as **Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I²C, and CAN**
• Analyze, integrate and troubleshoot hardware-software interactions on complex embedded platforms
• Create prototypes and proof-of-concepts to evaluate new technologies and technical solutions
• Collaborate closely with **application software** and **hardware engineering** teams in an agile development environment

## Your profile:

Must have:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field
• Few years of professional experience in **Linux**-based **embedded** software development, with expertise in Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, I²C and CAN
• Profound knowledge of **object-oriented** design principles and software **architecture**, combined with strong programming skills in **C++17** and later standards
• Solid understanding of **operating systems**, **device drivers**, real-time concepts and **HW/SW interaction**
• Experience with debugging and performance analysis of embedded platforms
• Ability to analyze complex technical problems and develop sustainable solutions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international team

Nice to have:

• Experience with semiconductor test equipment, industrial automation or measurement systems
• Knowledge of Embedded Linux, Yocto, Buildroot or similar platforms
• Experience with multicore and multithreaded applications
• Experience with Python scripting and automated testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
