We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our growing Engineering team and help drive the development of innovative emergency lighting and IoT solutions used around the world.

This is an exciting full-time opportunity offered on a 12-month max-term basis.

What You Will Be Doing

As our Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and testing embedded firmware that powers our emergency lighting systems and connected technologies.

You will also be:

  • designing, developing and testing firmware for emergency lighting products and systems
  • developing embedded software for microcontroller-based devices
  • supporting DALI and HIVE system technologies
  • creating and maintaining technical documentation for design projects
  • investigating emerging technologies and industry developments that could enhance existing products
  • collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle
  • troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
  • contributing to quality, environmental and continuous improvement initiatives across the business

This Role Is Perfect for Someone Who...

Loves technology, enjoys solving problems, and has a genuine passion for embedded software development.

You will bring:

  • a degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline
  • experience developing firmware for embedded systems and microcontrollers
  • strong programming skills in C and ideally Python
  • experience with Embedded Linux and device driver development
  • exposure to IoT technologies and connected devices
  • knowledge of wireless communication protocols, including Bluetooth, Sub-GHz and mesh networking
  • experience working with DALI-based systems
  • a solid understanding of electronics principles
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to troubleshooting
  • a hands-on, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
