Embedded Software Engineer
Summary
On-site embedded software engineer (near Chesterfield/Didsbury, Manchester) developing, maintaining, and supporting embedded software and firmware for products serving the manufacturing sector. Day-to-day work involves C/C++ on microcontrollers, system testing, firmware updates, and technical documentation.
Salary: £40,000 - 50,000 per year
Requirements:- Proven experience in embedded or systems software development
- Experience programming with C, C++, or similar low-level languages
- Knowledge of microcontrollers
- Embedded systems and hardware knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Desirable: Linux, control systems, real-time operating systems, testing, and communication protocols
- Develop, maintain, and support embedded software
- Carry out system testing
