Summary
12-month contract-to-hire role via Insight Global supporting a client in Palm Bay, FL building mission-critical embedded software. Day to day: full-lifecycle development of low-level C/C++ software that interfaces directly with hardware on Linux, plus integration, testing, and Python-based test automation.

Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 3+ years of embedded software development
- Strong C/C++ development experience
- Linux environment development experience
- Experience with hardware/software integration, testing, and Python-based test automation
Nice To Have Requirements:
- Active Secret Clearance and/or experience supporting defense, aerospace, or mission-critical systems
- Experience with DO-178C, Linux device drivers, kernel development, OpenGL, FPGA, ARM/x86 processors, or RTOS platforms such as VxWorks, LynxOS, or Integrity

Insight Global's client is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of mission-critical embedded software solutions. This individual will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including requirements definition, software architecture, design, implementation, integration, testing, and ongoing support. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing low-level software that interfaces directly with hardware, along with a proven ability to solve complex engineering problems, collaborate across disciplines, and deliver high-quality software for demanding real-world applications.
Compensation:
$55/hr to $70/hr.
