Embedded Software Engineer — Linux/RTOS (C/C++)

Powersoft SpA in Firenze is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join our team. You will design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based and RTOS platforms, writing C/C++ code for real-time environments.

Collaborating with hardware engineers and product managers, you will drive firmware development, driver integration, and system bring-up, ensuring reliable performance across heterogeneous platforms. A degree in a related field is required.

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software across Linux and RTOS platforms. Develop firmware and application code in C/C++ for real-time environments. Work with Linux embedded distributions, driver development and board bring-up. Develop RTOS applications on FreeRTOS and Zephyr handling tasks and timing. Collaborate with hardware engineers and product teams through the lifecycle. Debug and troubleshoot across hardware interfaces to software. Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Electronics/EE required. Strong C/C++ for embedded systems experience. Experience with Linux Embedded or RTOS. Familiar with UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO. Git version control with branching workflows.
