Discussion

MCT Technic, Türkiye’s first and only domestic manufacturer of NOx sensors, operates from its high-tech production facilities located in the Istanbul Specialized Free Zone.

With more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry, the company is committed to developing environmentally responsible technologies and contributing to a more sustainable future.

Its product portfolio includes high-precision NOx sensors designed to measure nitrogen oxide (NOx) levels in exhaust gases, helping to optimize engine performance and reduce harmful emissions.

If you are passionate about technology, environmentally responsible manufacturing, and the role of software in modern production processes, MCT Technic offers an exciting and innovative working environment.

This is a hands on embedded software role. You will write production C/C++ firmware on NXP microcontrollers, bring up and integrate the RTOS layer (Zephyr), and develop low-level drivers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain production embedded C/C++ software on NXP S32K series (S32K1xx / S32K3xx) and related microcontrollers.
  • Bring up, configure, and integrate the RTOS layer (Zephyr): kernel configuration, scheduling, memory, and board support; for Zephyr, the west / CMake / devicetree / Kconfig build system.
  • Develop and optimize low-level drivers, peripherals, and communication interfaces (ADC, PWM, timers, watchdog, SPI, I²C, CAN, EEPROM/Flash) and real-time control loops, with awareness of WCET and stack usage under memory/timing constraints.
  • Write unit and integration tests and integrate with in-house HIL test automation.
  • Resolve hardware/software integration bottlenecks using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and hardware debuggers.
  • Use Git-based version control and disciplined code review; work within an Agile/Scrum framework with sprint-based development.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience developing production firmware in C/C++ on microcontrollers (typically 4+ years).
  • Strong hands-on coding ability
  • Practical experience with NXP microcontrollers (S32K, Kinetis, i.MX RT, LPC, or similar) and their toolchains.
  • Strong hands-on experience with an embedded RTOS - Zephyr (strongly preferred) or SafeRTOS.
  • Low-level / bare-metal development and hardware-level debugging (JTAG / SWD, logic analyzer, oscilloscope).
  • Practical experience with Git and issue-tracking systems; a disciplined code-review habit.
  • Good command of English (technical communication).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

  • Secure bootloader / OTA software update; secure boot chain and cryptography (HSM, key management).
  • STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Other RTOS (FreeRTOS, ThreadX).
  • CI/CD and static analysis tooling.
  • Requirements based development and technical documentation.
