This position will be contracted through Bosch’s external vendor under a one-year agreement.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Agile Scrum Master to join our Audio team, which develops core audio components for state-of-the-art Automotive Infotainment systems.

In this role, you will act as a servant leader, coach, and mentor, helping the team build a great product that is highly valued by our customers. Since this project operates within the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), you will play a key role in coordinating cross-team dependencies, driving continuous improvement, and facilitating target-oriented collaboration across international borders—including regular communication with our teams in Germany.

Main Responsibilities

1. Agile Facilitation & Process Ownership

  • Ceremony Management: Organize, schedule, and facilitate crucial Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
  • Method Champion: Guide and coach the team in adopting Scrum, SAFe, and Kanban practices effectively, ensuring agile values and principles are deeply embedded in daily operations.
  • Metrics and Transparency: Define and utilize agile metrics (e.g., team velocity, burndown/burnup charts) to make progress transparent and drive reliable sprint planning.

2. Servant Leadership & Team Coaching

  • Empower & Mentor: Act as a servant leader to foster a self-organizing, autonomous, and high-performing team culture.
  • Protect the Team: Shield the team from external disruptions, manage top-down pressure, and establish a high degree of psychological safety.
  • Impediment Removal: Proactively identify, track, and facilitate the resolution of technical or process-related roadblocks that hinder team productivity.

3. SAFe Coordination & Dependency Management

  • Cross-Team Alignment: Coordinate non-technical dependencies and align with other Scrum teams within the Agile Release Train (ART).
  • ART Participation: Active participation in scaled agile ceremonies such as Scrum of Scrums, Product Owner/Scrum Master Syncs, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.

4. Collaboration & Quality

  • Product Owner Collaboration: Support the Product Owner in maintaining a refined, well-estimated, and prioritized Product Backlog.
  • Quality Assurance Support: Assist the team in maintaining high development and testing quality standards, ensuring adherence to the Definition of Done (DoD).

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Agile Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of Agile Methodologies, Kanban Principles, and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Technical Domain Knowledge: A good overall understanding of Software Development and Software Testing lifecycles to better guide the team’s technical practices.
  • Language & Communication: Excellent verbal and written English skills. Proven capability to moderate, host, and lead meetings confidently with cross-functional partners and international stakeholders, specifically in Germany.
  • Leadership Style: Strong coaching, mentoring, and conflict-resolution skills with a proven track record of operating as an empathetic servant leader.
  • Agile Certifications: Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM I) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certifications.

Nice-to-Have (Any of the following will be a strong advantage, but are not mandatory)

  • Tooling Proficiency: Experience working with agile tracking tools like Jira or IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC).
  • Industry Standards: General knowledge of ASPICE (Automotive SPICE) or functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
  • Infotainment Experience: Prior experience in automotive software development, infotainment systems, or audio technologies.

Further details regarding benefits will be shared during the interview process.
