EMC Test Engineer (3rd shift and weekends)

Your Tasks

  • Perform EMC tests in accordance with national and international regulatory standards and test procedures, both in the laboratory and at customer facilities.
  • Document test results in standardized reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant test equipment, operational procedures, and current product standards.
  • Participate in internal training, webinars, and technical article reviews to stay current with industry developments.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory test and measurement equipment (e.g., EMI test receivers, spectrum analyzers, power meters, ESD, EFT, surge, radiated and conducted immunity systems).
  • Assist with internal and external verifications and calibrations.
  • Ensure all test documentation is completed accurately and on time, ready for incorporation into test reports.
  • Follow standard lab operating procedures, including equipment storage, use of calibrated equipment, and maintaining clean and organized test areas.
  • Participate in internal and external audits.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with internal and external customers, providing technical feedback, answering questions, and supporting compliance efforts.
  • Promote a positive work environment and contribute to improved lab organization and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and internal information.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or equivalent/similar experience/education.
  • High-level knowledge of wireless/RF communication systems and protocols (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GNSS, 4G, millimeter wave, other wireless technologies) preferred.
  • High-level mechanical/automotive aptitude preferred.
  • 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift opportunities available.
  • Availability to work extended hours / shifts / days as requeseted or needed.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to plan, organize, and pay attention to detail.
  • Reliable judgment, adaptability, and a common-sense approach to problem-solving.
  • Self-starter with a positive outlook, motivated attitude, and ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Customer-focused, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift as needed.
  • Ability or willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Additional Information

  • The anticipated hourly base pay range for this full-time position is $75,000- $90,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.
  • Use of EMC laboratory test equipment and general office equipment.
  • Physical requirements: ability to occasionally walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, sit, talk, hear, and use hands/fingers; occasionally lift/move up to 35 pounds.
