Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
- Diagnose and treat emergency conditions in a high-volume Emergency Department setting
- Collaborate closely with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), nursing staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care delivery
- Perform emergency procedures and interventions as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Meditech EMR system
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental protocols
- Provide consultative services to hospital staff and coordinate patient admissions when necessary
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board Certification: ABEM (American Board of Emergency Medicine), ABOEM (American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine), Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine - recent residency graduates welcome to apply
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based Emergency Medicine experience OR recent Emergency Medicine residency completion
- Eligible for Georgia Medical License without restrictions
- DEA license eligibility without restrictions
- Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) - ABEM/ABOEM certified physicians exempted from ATLS requirement
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions
- Detail-oriented with commitment to quality patient outcomes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Meditech Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Proven track record in high-volume Emergency Department settings
- Additional emergency medicine certifications or specialty training
