Emergency Services RN Manager

Job Summary:

The Manager Emergency Room Services will assume management responsibility of the unit in the absence of the Director. He/she will assist the Director with staff development, unit-based quality initiatives, daily operations, programmatic initiatives, daily huddles, patient experience initiatives, patient safety, quality measures, review of documentation.

The Manager Emergency Room Services will facilitate development of new staff and will work closely with the education department to ensure that the learning needs of the unit are met.

Will participate in nursing leadership activities and is capable and able to perform as a staff nurse for the unit when census requires. Role models professional behavior and performance to other team members.

  1. Education: High School Diploma/GED, Graduated from a recognized school of nursing. Preferred BSN

  1. Certification/Licensure: Required: Valid PA Registered Nurse License. Preferred: CEN/CCRN

Required: American Red Cross/ American Heart Association BLS within 90 days, ACLS within 6 months of hire, PALS within one year of hire.

  1. Clearances: Required: As required by State and Federal Law.
