EMPLOYEE EXPERIENCE & TALENT HR GENERALIST II

Position Summary
Since our opening in 1987, New Hope Treatment Centers has been a welcoming place for young people in moments of crisis. The HR Generalist II serves as a key member of the Employee Experience & Talent team by supporting the organization’s workers’ compensation, leave of absence, employee relations, and regulatory compliance functions. This position partners with employees, leaders, healthcare providers, insurance carriers, and external agencies to support timely case coordination, accurate documentation, consistent application of employment policies, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational requirements.

Working under the direction of the Supervisor – EE&T Risk & HR Operations, the HR Generalist II provides support with employee relations matters, assists with workplace investigations, coordinates leave and accommodation processes, supports workplace safety initiatives, and contributes to ongoing Human Resources compliance efforts. Through proactive communication, strong organizational skills, and sound judgment, this role promotes a positive employee experience while supporting the organization’s mission, values, and operational goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supports employee relations processes by assisting with employee concerns, policy interpretation, documentation, and case follow-up while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Assists with workplace investigations by completing assigned fact-finding activities, gathering relevant documentation, maintaining investigation records, and preparing summaries for leadership review.
• Supports the documentation of corrective actions, coaching conversations, and performance improvement plans as directed by leadership.
• Maintains accurate and confidential employee relations records, case documentation, and related HR information.
• Supports workers’ compensation processes by assisting with injury reporting, claim documentation, employee communications, and return-to-work coordination.
• Communicates with employees, supervisors, insurance carriers, medical providers, and third-party administrators regarding assigned workers’ compensation matters and documentation requirements.
• Assists with modified duty and return-to-work processes by coordinating required documentation and supporting communication between employees, leaders, and applicable partners.
• Maintains accurate workers’ compensation records, claim documentation, and required reporting information.
• Supports leave of absence and accommodation processes, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, military leave, personal leave, and other applicable leave programs.
• Assists with leave eligibility review, required documentation, employee communications, tracking, and return-to-work processes while ensuring records are maintained accurately.
• Maintains leave and accommodation records within the HRIS and supports consistent application of established processes and requirements.
• Maintains OSHA injury and illness records, including OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 logs, and assists with required regulatory reporting and documentation.
• Supports workplace incident reviews by gathering information, maintaining records, and assisting with assigned follow-up activities.
• Assists with safety initiatives, compliance activities, and risk management projects to support a safe and compliant work environment.
• Supports HR compliance efforts by assisting with policy implementation, employee communications, audits, record reviews, and other compliance-related activities.
• Maintains accurate employee records and HR documentation to support organizational and regulatory requirements.
• Prepares reports related to employee relations, workers’ compensation, leave, OSHA, and compliance activities to support departmental review and decision-making.
• Reviews HR data and records to identify documentation gaps, process improvement opportunities, and areas requiring additional follow-up.
• Participates in HR projects, initiatives, and operational support activities as assigned
