Summary
Serve as the primary HR advisor for employee relations, performance management, and workplace accommodations in a mission-driven nonprofit supporting Colorado families.
Developmental Pathways (DP) is looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team to shape and lead our employee relations and performance management structure. This is an opportunity to serve as a trusted advisor on accommodations and risk management, promoting consistent policy application and positive workplace outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Lead Employee Relations & Performance Management – Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters, performance concerns, investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution, partnering with leaders to drive fair and compliant outcomes

Manage Accommodations & Leave Programs – Oversee the interactive accommodation process and leave of absence/return-to-work programs, ensuring timely, consistent, and legally compliant support for employees and leaders

Ensure Compliance & Mitigate Risk – Interpret and apply HR policies, maintain expertise in employment laws, support unemployment and agency responses, and partner with HR leadership to address complex or high-risk situations

Drive Continuous Improvement & Insights – Maintain accurate case documentation, identify workplace trends and opportunities, leverage HR systems effectively, and provide recommendations that strengthen employee experience and organizational effectiveness
