Position Overview
West Coast Trial Lawyers is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney to join our growing Employment Law Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background handling employment litigation matters from inception through resolution, including wage and hour disputes, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other employment-related claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing complex employment litigation cases from inception through resolution
- Conducting and defending depositions, including those of expert witnesses
- Making regular court appearances, including hearings and conferences
- Preparing for and handling trials and arbitrations with minimal supervision
- Overseeing and contributing to law and motion practice
- Mentoring junior attorneys and legal support staff
- Developing case strategy in collaboration with partners
- Performing high-level legal research and writing
- Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing pleadings, discovery, and correspondence
- Communicating effectively with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel
- Participating in case reviews and firm development initiatives
