Pay: $158,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year

Location:

Sacramento, CA — Hybrid schedule with attorneys working remotely up to two days per week.

Note:

Must have an active California Bar license and 3+ years of employment law experience, with meaningful employment advice and counsel experience. Candidates should have a strong interest in practicing exclusively in employment law.

Job Description

  • Advise employers on a broad range of employment law and workplace issues.
  • Provide practical advice and counsel designed to help clients manage employment-related risks.
  • Research and analyze federal and California employment laws and regulations.
  • Draft employment policies, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Counsel clients regarding employee relations, workplace compliance, and employment decisions.
  • Work closely with clients to understand business objectives and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Collaborate with attorneys across the firm when matters involve multiple areas of law.
  • Deliver responsive, high-quality legal service while managing matters with increasing independence.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar admission.
  • 3+ years of employment law experience.
  • Meaningful employment advice and counsel experience.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong academic performance from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Excellent client-service and interpersonal skills.
  • Genuine interest in focusing exclusively on employment law.
