Summary
The System Analyst manages IT infrastructure, ensures system stability, and maintains security protocols while troubleshooting performance issues and automating tasks for a government entity in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and IT infrastructure to ensure operational stability
- Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, application software, and system management tools
- Perform system patching, application deployment, and generate operational reports
- Proactively maintain the highest levels of system and infrastructure availability
- Monitor application performance to identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and collaborate with developers to implement fixes
- Maintain security protocols, backup procedures, and redundancy strategies to safeguard systems
- Write and maintain custom scripts to automate tasks and reduce manual intervention
- Perform SLIFT key, SFTP password, SSL, and RDP certificate updates to maintain secure access
- Maintain an accurate inventory of software assets
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Technology
- Proficient knowledge of file transfer and security technologies, including SFTP and file encryption
- Familiarity with Java Web Application development and JEE frameworks
- Understanding of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products and tools related to EAI-MFT
- Knowledge of XML, Oracle PL/SQL, and MS SQL query languages
- Experience with Windows administration, scripting, and UNIX/Linux cron job scheduling
- Strong analytical skills to investigate issues and propose effective solutions
