The Employment Specialist is a vital role dedicated to supporting students, adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and justice-involved youth in achieving success in competitive employment within their communities. This position goes beyond job placement—it involves empowering individuals through job training, coaching, customized accommodations, and ongoing support to foster independence, accuracy, and efficiency in the workplace.
As an Employment Specialist, you will develop strong, supportive relationships with both the individuals you serve and their employers. Your ability to communicate effectively, advocate for inclusive practices, and maintain consistent engagement is key to sustaining long-term employment and meaningful workplace integration—especially for those facing additional barriers, such as a history of involvement with the justice system.
Key Responsibilities:
