Employment Support Professional - Central CO
Integrated Life Choices (ILC) is seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as an Employment Support Provider.
Employment Support Providers at ILC partner with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve meaningful, competitive and integrated employment by guiding them through the job search and placement process. This role focuses on identifying each individual's strengths, interests, and career goals while providing person-centered support with career exploration, resume development, job searching, interview preparation, and connecting with local employers.
Working collaboratively with individuals, employers, employment specialists, and community partners, the Employment Support Provider develops employment opportunities that align with each person's abilities and aspirations within a Competitive and Integrated, employment opportunity. The position emphasizes building employer relationships, advocating for inclusive hiring practices, and supporting successful job matches that promote long-term employment, independence, and community inclusion.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Conduct person centered career profiles to identify each individual's strengths, interests, skills, and career goals.
- Support individuals in developing workplace readiness skills, including communication, professionalism, time management, and self-advocacy.
- Promote informed choice, independence, and self-determination throughout the employment planning and job search process.
- Assist individuals with career exploration, job searching, resume development, application completion, and interview preparation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to identify competitive, integrated employment opportunities.
- Match job seekers with positions that align with their abilities, preferences, and long-term employment goals.
- Advocate for inclusive hiring practices and educate employers on the benefits of hiring individuals with disabilities.
- Facilitate job tours, informational interviews, and community networking opportunities.
- Provide transportation to and from interviews/job fairs or assist them in arranging transportation.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, contact notes, and required reporting in accordance with ILC and HCPF
- Participate in community outreach, networking events, and employer engagement activities to expand employment opportunities for adults in services.
- Assume additional responsibilities as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the program and the adults in services.
- Follow ILC’s Medication Administration policies and procedures.
