Offering 507-beds, services include an emergency department, operating theatres, endoscopy suites, birth suite and maternity ward, medical library and education centre.

About the role

We are now seeking enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled and Registered Nurses with Accident and Emergency experience to join our organisation. As a member of our friendly and approachable team, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

As one of St John of God’s leading private Emergency Departments, we offer urgent, high-quality care from experienced doctors and nurses in a comfortable setting. In this position, you will work in a fast-paced, accelerated environment that requires adapting very quickly to urgent and emergency situations and thriving on the unpredictability of the department.

Supported by our medical teams you will be able to make quick and skilled clinical decisions fostering a strong alliance between doctors and nurses. We offer a fast-paced environment to take advantage of your skills.

Permanent part-time and casual positions are currently available. Applications will continue to be considered for all positions as they become available over the next four months across all SJG Hospitals and Services.

Your skills and experience

You will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse, along with recent acute nursing experience in Emergency. You will demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

Minimum 2 years previous Accident and Emergency experience within a busy hospital environment is preferred and postgraduate qualification will be highly regarded.

We can offer you

  • Enrolled Nurse Salary: $72,637 to $94,929 (pro rata for part-time), plus 12% superannuation

  • Enrolled Nurse Casual Rate: $45.80 to $59.85 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation

  • Registered Nurse Salary: $82,945 to $106,630 (pro rata for part-time) plus 12% superannuation

  • Registered Nurse Casual Rate: $52.30to $67.24 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 12% superannuation

  • Permanent Part-time and Casual positions available, hours negotiable

  • Salary packaging up to $18,550 on a range of benefits such as mortgage, rent, meal entertainment, holiday accommodation or other everyday living expenses as well as options to salary package benefits above the FBT cap on items such as:
