Summary
Performs endoscopy procedures, prepares patients, maintains equipment, and ensures sterile environments in a healthcare setting.
Performs high quality Endoscopy procedures, focusing on patient care and education. Supports and helps achieve departmental goals. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
General Functions:
Assists the healthcare team with all Endoscopy examinations/procedures according to established department protocols.
Prepares, positions, and transfers patients
Performs assigned room cleanup tasks including disposal, cleaning/disinfection, inventory and restocking of supplies and equipment
Performs accurate biological testing and quality assurance monitors on designated processors located within the facility
Performs all assigned clerical/computer-related transactions to ensure that accurate patient and exam/procedure information is recorded.
Serves as a role model for service excellence and commits to Studer Principles and “must haves”
Utilizes resources efficiently and effectively
Maintains safe environment
Addresses patient population-specific needs
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent
PREFERRED EDUCATION:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: CNA-Exposure/experience in Endoscopy
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Certified Nurse Aide
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life
Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire
