Energy Plant Technician - Facilities Management
Summary
Maintains and repairs HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems in a hospital facility to ensure energy efficiency and operational reliability.
- Ensures all equipment is functioning effectively and is properly maintained.
- Completion of all assigned preventive maintenance on systems and equipment.
- Identifies, reports and corrects maintenance issues and reports to Department Leadership.
- Trouble shoots and repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems and other hospital systems as required.
- Performs equipment rounds and documents failures and equipment performance to department leadership. Provides a daily shift report to department leadership.
- Assists Department Leadership with scheduling and overseeing shutdowns and outages associated with maintenance or construction.
- Serves as first responder to off shift maintenance request.
- Completes work orders in a timely manner as assigned.
- Manages the building automation system to ensure efficient use of energy.
- Responsible for completing special projects as assigned by department leadership.
- Ensures the CEP and other mechanical spaces are kept clean and organized.
- Communicates with other departments regarding maintenance issues.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
