Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for reconciling and verifying trading data for futures, options and related derivatives, including trade executions, positions, prices, fees, margins, profit and loss, settlement statements and other relevant information.
- Handle the daily settlement, valuation and return calculations of futures accounts, ensuring consistency between the trading system, futures broker settlement statements and internal reports.
- Monitor changes in futures and derivatives positions, and assist in compiling and reconciling key trading information, including positions, exposures, expiry dates, settlement prices and options exercises.
- Assist in preparing statistics on trading P&L, unrealized P&L, realized P&L, margin utilization and fund movements, providing accurate data support to the trading team and management.
- Liaise with the Trading, Finance, Risk Management, Operations teams and futures brokers on data and documentation, and promptly resolve settlement discrepancies and data exceptions.
- Regularly prepare and consolidate futures trading and settlement reports, and conduct data analysis and verification.
- Provide recommendations for improving settlement processes, data definitions and system functionality based on business requirements.
- He will be responsible for analyzing the oil space (Crude, Middle Distillates, Gasoline, Fuel Oil) in Asia.
- Perform basic ship-tracking for supply and demand analysis, daily macro updates, independent analytics, as well as participate in traders' meetings to share findings and contribute to the commercial mental modelling for new trade ideas.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant disciplines preferred.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in futures settlement, trading operations, financial accounting, risk management middle office or related functions is preferred.
- Familiar with basic futures trading and settlement concepts, including margin, positions and transaction fees.
- Strong numerical aptitude with excellent data reconciliation, logical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office applications, with experience in report preparation, data processing and chart creation.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented and responsible, with the ability to work under the time-sensitive and accuracy-driven requirements of trading and settlement operations.
