Engagement Manager - CPG/FMCG Sector - IIM/FMS/MDI/XLRI

Description

Role & responsibilities:

- Own client delivery end to end for a set of CPG engagements. You are the person the client trusts on their RTM problem and the one accountable for everything that leaves the door.

- Run day-to-day client management for your accounts: cadence, expectations, escalations, and deliverable quality.

- Lead delivery on RTM and GTM engagements: outlet universe expansion, beat and territory design, MSL, scheme and channel economics, and command-centre setup.

- Manage and mentor a small team of consultants and analysts; set the standard for rigour and turnaround.

- Sit inside the client's distribution problem, structure it functionally, and defend the recommendation in front of sales leadership.

- Drive productization: convert recurring delivery patterns into product features, templates, and workflows so GrowthOS gets sharper with every project.

- Work alongside the data, engineering, and design teams to shape what we build next.

Preferred candidate profile:

This is a functional CPG distribution role powered by a platform. It is not a data analyst, GIS, or software PM role.

- MBA, preferably from a premier institute.

- 4 to 6 years in the CPG/FMCG sector with direct hands-on Route to Market / GTM / distribution work. This is non-negotiable. Modern trade, e-commerce, or brand-only backgrounds are not a fit.

- RTM grounding from one of two paths: a consulting RTM/GTM practice (EY, BCG, Kearney, Accenture, Bain, or a specialist RTM firm), or a field sales role in an FMCG company (ASM/RSM/Sales Manager) where you owned distributors, beats, and secondary sales.

- Strong command of general trade: distributors, super-stockists, beat plans, outlet grading, secondary sales, and channel economics.

- Able to run a client relationship independently and lead a team while doing it.

- Bonus: exposure to rural and Bharat markets, and a bias for building repeatable systems over one-off decks.

When you apply, tell us in one or two lines the single largest RTM, beat-design, or distribution-expansion project you have personally led: the brand, your role, and the outcome.

Perks and benefits:

- The sharpest RTM work of your career, with a product that removes the grunt so you focus on judgment.

- Direct access to founders and a real hand in shaping the platform.

- A small senior team and marquee CPG clients from day one.

- Fast ownership and a clear path to grow as the delivery org scales.
