Engine Field Service Technician(Local 5x2)
Summary
Performs on-site and in-shop diesel engine repairs and maintenance, using diagnostic tools and software to service Cummins engines.
Job Summary:
Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.
We are looking for a talented Field Service Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Basemine 14x14).
Work primarily in the shop and possible field work / field trips
Schedule: 5x2 Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 Pm
Will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Performs engine overhauls unassisted
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
$66.00/hour Work primarily in the shop and possible field work / field trips
Schedule: 5x2 Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 Pm
Drug & Alcohol testing required
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Basic level field service work experience
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
