Engineer 2, Process Quality

Summary

Engineer responsible for product and process quality in a manufacturing environment, using tools like FMEA and SPC to ensure ISO 9001 compliance and stop production for quality issues.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Jointly responsible for product and process quality, with the production staffs, QA sections and process engineering team. Contact with the sale & external parties.

Education & Experience

BS degree in engineering or sciences, prefer from the field of optics engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or industrial engineering

At least 2 years in this role at international manufacturing company

Skills

Experience in process control.

Experience of quality tool: FMEA, SPC, 5Whys, Problem solving, ISO 9001

Be able to communicate and write in English.

Working Conditions

Works in standard office/ manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Access to manufacturing methodologies and process information. Access to customer lists and customer information.
  • Stop the production line and report it to the supervisor if there is a major quality problem or the yield drops below the cut-off threshold.
  • Reject orders and isolate products that don't meet requirements.
  • Stop shipment if the products do not meet the customer's requirements.

In addition, have the right to stop working and request remedial work when detecting that working conditions or working positions are not safe.

Safety Requirements

Depending on location, this position may be responsible for the execution and maintenance of the ISO 9000, 9001, 14001 and/or other applicable standards that may apply to the relevant roles and responsibilities within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System.
