Engineer | Aircraft Flight Dynamics
- Collaborate closely with the Aerodynamic and Aircraft performance teams to propose aircraft configuration optimizations to the Project Management Team.
- Cooperate within a team to improve tools and processes and share knowledge/information.
- Develop reliable flight mechanics models, vehicle simulations and tools for handling qualities necessary for the development of a new aircraft.
- Organize and lead all flight dynamic simulation activities required to answer a new aircraft program during the full product life cycle.
- Produce all needed documentation required for certification.
- Provide support during aircraft development phase, including certification phase, and participate in potential optimization campaigns while in service.
- Support any aircraft flight dynamic data requests from marketing, or other company departments.
- Support the flight test campaign required to achieve the aircraft certification.
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering or similar discipline.
- Proven experience in Flight Control Systems and Flight Mechanics activities covering the full lifecycle of an aerospace artefact, from conceptual phase to industrial production.
- Good knowledge of aerodynamic simulations, aircraft mission performance and propulsion systems.
- Good programming skills in C#, C++, VBA, Matlab, Python, FORTRAN and experience using Matlab/Simulink for modelling purposes in a professional work environment.
- Hands-on experience with Requirement Management tools (IBM Doors or similar).
- Fluent in English (mandatory).
- Good interpersonal skills to work as a team, but can also work independently and demonstrate self-reliance and initiative to achieve the goals established.
