Engineer - Audio
Main Functions

Drive and continuously improve audio technical standards and best practices within the company.

Collaborate with Audio team members to review departmental progress, system performance, and technical requirements.

Research new audio technologies, equipment, and industry developments, and cascade relevant knowledge to the team.

Train, supervise, and mentor Technicians and Crew in the safe setup, operation, and maintenance of audio equipment.

Work as part of the Audio team both on-site and off-site across multiple event scales.

Configure and optimize audio systems at an advanced level, including system tuning and alignment.

Maintain advanced knowledge of professional audio equipment, staying up to date with the latest consoles, loudspeaker systems, RF technologies, and audio networking.

Lead by example, maintaining consistent performance and professional conduct at all times.

Interact directly with clients on site in a professional, customer-oriented manner.

Run audio for shows of all sizes, including operation, on-site management, and leading Audio Technicians and Crew.

Manage audio projects and teams at department level in the absence of a Project Manager.
-
Assist Project Managers with audio planning, system design, and equipment specification for events.

Provide technical and operational support to the Head of Department.
-
Report all defective or damaged audio equipment to the Head of Department.

Clean, test, maintain, prep, and repair audio equipment prior to deployment.

Monitor, fault-find, and repair audio systems during live events as required.

Identify and rectify audio equipment failures in line with company standards.

Perform repairs on professional and high-end audio equipment where appropriate.

Build and install audio systems on site independently, following approved system layouts and drawings.

Set up, test, and operate audio systems including FOH, monitors, RF, and playback systems.

Load and unload audio equipment safely and efficiently.

Clean and correctly store audio equipment after events.

Rig and de-rig audio equipment safely, in accordance with safety procedures.

Conduct annual inventory of audio equipment in line with company procedures.

Adhere to all health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Report all HSE concerns or incidents to the Group HSE Manager.
-
Comply with company policies, rules, and procedures.
-
Perform other audio-related duties within the scope of the role as assigned by the direct supervisor.
