Engineer - Building Physics
The incumbent will be part of WSP’s India–Switzerland Team (P&B sector).
We are seeking a Building Physics Consultant with 8–10 years of experience to support our Environmental and Sustainability team in Central Europe region (Switzerland), working closely with GCC Property & Building sector team in India.
Responsibilities include energy and daylight modelling to evaluate building performance in the Central Europe region, along with contributing to technical reports, proposals, and costings. This role offers opportunities to expand consultancy skills while delivering high-quality, client-focused projects.
You will be part of a dynamic, respected team serving diverse clients across government, industrial, commercial, and scientific sectors.
Successful candidate will:
• Lead energy modelling and building performance analysis to meet performance targets, LEED certification, energy code compliance, and other sustainability goals
• Interpret climate data and building typologies to inform design strategies
• Conduct daylight analysis to support high-performance design decisions
• Prepare technical reports detailing analysis and design recommendations
• Collaborate internally to achieve project sustainability objectives
• Review documentation for integration of high-performance design aspects
• Deliver design analysis and advice of high technical standards across architecture and building systems.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture/engineering or relevant discipline
• 3 - 5 years of professional experience in building physics or related fields
• Knowledge of certification systems such as LEED, Mostadam, Estidama, and energy code compliance
• Ability to independently read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Familiarity with ASHRAE requirements and energy modelling protocols
• Good understanding of MEP systems and components
• Proficiency with Rhino/Grasshopper including Ladybug, honeybee, etc…
• Experience with IES-VE, OpenStudio, EnergyPlus, eQuest is an advantage.
• Proven experience delivering international projects (ME, UK, EU, Nordic preferred)
• Daylight modelling experience in Rhino/Grasshopper is an advantage
• Candidates with LEED facilitation experience are encouraged to apply.
