Engineer Clean Utilities (m/f/d)

Whether in engineering or GMP compliance projects, in this responsible role you will take ownership of the technical design and engineering of clean utility systems for clients in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. From concept development through basic and detailed engineering to project execution, you will ensure the technical quality of solutions and coordinate interdisciplinary project teams. In doing so, you will make a significant contribution to project success in terms of quality, schedule, and budget.
Explore your tasks and responsibilities
- Identify and define customer requirements and develop utility supply concepts in GMP-regulated environments
- Design and engineer clean utility systems, including:
- Purified Water (PW)
- Water for Injection (WFI)
- Clean Steam
- Process gas and chemical distribution systems
- Process wastewater systems
- Develop innovative and sustainable technical solutions for complex projects
- Prepare specifications, technical documentation, layouts, routing concepts, cost estimates, and project schedules
- Take responsibility for the technical planning and design of utility systems and associated equipment
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, project schedules, and budget requirements
- Review and approve technical documents and engineering deliverables
- Coordinate suppliers during the engineering and execution phases
- Support commissioning, qualification, and acceptance activities
Show your expertise
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a comparable discipline
- Strong expertise in Purified Water (PW), Water for Injection (WFI), Clean Steam, process gases, and related utility systems
- Knowledge of process wastewater systems is considered an advantage
- Strong understanding of GMP requirements and relevant industry standards
- Experience managing quality, cost, and schedule performance within engineering projects
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with CAD and 3D design tools is an advantage
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland as required by projects
