Location\: Bangalore

Role Overview

We are seeking Algorithm Engineer with strong skills in perception-driven algorithm development to join our Algo Dev team. In this role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end design and implementation of perception algorithms contributing directly to our AI production stack to deliver a highly efficient AI solution that powers perception, decision-making, and safety-critical systems in next-generation vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

· Research & Implementation\: Benchmark SOTA algorithms in the latest research space & devise novel and compute-efficient perception-based algorithms

· Algorithm Development for production quality\: Design and implement robust Computer Vision Algorithms that are robust to diverse scenarios - changing exposure, variable lighting conditions, human articulations etc.

· Debug complex issues, conduct thorough root cause analysis, and ensure the performance, robustness, and reliability of perception algorithms across the AI production stack

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, distributed globally, to deliver robust and scalable AI algorithms

· Strong documentation of research work compliant with AI process standards – EU AI Act, ASPICE ML Process etc.

Minimum Qualifications

· Education\: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Vision/Computer Science or related fields

· Core Experience\: 1-2+ years of experience in developing Computer Vision algorithms, specifically focusing on real production grade scenarios

· Technical Skills\:

o Strong expertise in Python and libraries like OpenCV, SciPy, and PyTorch

o Know how of SOTA CNNs, ML/DL Model training using large scale datasets – both real and artificial datasets

o Strong understanding of Camera ISP (Image Signal Processor) pipelines, including exposure control, gain, and white balance and how IQ parameters and real time environments affect

algorithm performance

· Know-how of ML processes for algorithm development

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience developing and delivering production grade perception algorithms in Automotive domain

· Strong in fundaments of Perception/ Computer Vision/ Deep Learning/ VLMs / Gen AI

· Strong understanding of performance metrics, benchmarking, and error analysis for perception systems

· Experience in optimizing models for runtime performance, including latency, memory footprint, and deployment constraints on edge/embedded systems

· Publication Record\: Published research in top-tier journals or conferences (e.g., CVPR, ICCV) and/or having filed/granted patents in Automotive domain

· Experience working with algorithm development with diverse camera modalities – RGB, NIR, FIR, Depth etc.
