Engineer, EIS - SASE/Data Security

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engineer, EIS – SASE/Data Security based in the United States.

As an Engineer supporting Enterprise Information Systems, you’ll help build, maintain, and improve infrastructure that enables critical business services.
You’ll work across hybrid cloud, compute, storage, networking, automation, monitoring, and security technologies.
The role combines hands-on engineering with technical design, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement.
You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, security specialists, application teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
Your work will contribute to reliable, secure, and scalable technology environments in a highly regulated healthcare setting.
You’ll have opportunities to expand your expertise in Azure, automation, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and security practices.

• Support enterprise infrastructure and information systems across compute, storage, networking, databases, hybrid cloud environments, Azure services, and automation platforms.
• Serve as a technical specialist for assigned infrastructure platforms and contribute to automation through PowerShell, Python, Terraform, and related technologies.
• Support architecture planning, technology roadmaps, standards, budgets, programs, and infrastructure projects.
• Facilitate technical solution design, documentation, peer reviews, and implementation activities across IT functions.
• Build, deploy, configure, and maintain infrastructure solutions while ensuring alignment with licensing, architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
• Support monitoring, alerting, and observability platforms such as Splunk, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds to maintain system availability, health, and performance.
• Assist with security controls, system patching, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory compliance requirements, including healthcare-related standards.
• Collaborate with networking, security, application, architecture, and other technology teams to deliver integrated end-to-end services.
• Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for infrastructure and service issues, using data and technical analysis to inform decisions.
• Contribute to project deliverables, governance processes, change management, incident management, configuration management, and other IT controls.
• Develop technical presentations, solutions, and documentation for peer-review committees and communicate complex concepts effectively to technical audiences.
• Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours support activities when required.
• Identify opportunities to improve people, processes, and technology and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in IT engineering, infrastructure support, or a comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Statistics, Healthcare, or a related discipline.
• Understanding of enterprise IT architecture, infrastructure components, systems lifecycle management, and software development lifecycle concepts.
• Experience working with enterprise information systems, infrastructure platforms, or related technology environments.
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments, particularly Azure, as well as virtualization, Windows/Linux systems, enterprise networking, and infrastructure platforms.
• Familiarity with PowerShell or Python scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Experience or familiarity with monitoring and observability technologies such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or SolarWinds.
• Understanding of fundamental security practices, including patch management, vulnerability remediation, security controls, and compliance.
• Knowledge of healthcare payer environments, managed care processes, industry standards, protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements is strongly valued.
• Ability to execute data queries and perform analysis to support troubleshooting, operational decisions, and fact-based problem solving.
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, planning, process-design, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with project management and the ability to manage priorities and deliver work within established methodologies and timelines.
• Strong organizational, time-management, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a highly matrixed organization and influence stakeholders toward scalable, sustainable solutions.
• Demonstrated curiosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly, particularly in cloud, automation, monitoring, and security.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies, including advanced Excel, as well as SQL.
• Preferred experience includes enterprise platforms such as PEGA or Salesforce and broader knowledge of healthcare technology environments.
