Job Summary

Join Powerzone H2 Technologies as an Engineer to support R&D and scale-up production of fuel cell systems, driving innovation in power electronics and mechanical design within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the research team to scale up production processes for fuel cell systems
  • Learn and apply new technical skills to solve engineering challenges effectively
  • Design power supplies and power system controls to meet project requirements
  • Develop and manufacture PCB designs for fuel cell controller systems
  • Integrate digital power electronics with microcontrollers for system optimization
  • Program and debug firmware using platforms such as ST and TI MCU for fuel cell controllers
  • Plan and design mechanical components related to fuel cell production
  • Manage all on-site technical and engineering activities to ensure project success
  • Prepare Bill of Materials, technical drawings, and specifications for raw materials and instrumentation
  • Source and evaluate machining, welding, assembly, installation, testing, and inspection methods
  • Coordinate with vendors and project stakeholders to manage priorities and deliverables
  • Travel to Temasek Polytechnic for research and development collaboration as required

Required competencies and certifications

  • Ability to communicate and write effectively in English to engage with diverse clients and stakeholders
  • Positive, self-motivated, and results-oriented attitude with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of engineering processes and equipment relevant to assigned tasks
  • Proven problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with lab or industrial equipment relevant to fuel cell or power electronics projects
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team settings and manage vendor relationships

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Knowledge of power electronics design principles and applications
  • Experience in PCB design and manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in programming and debugging firmware for microcontroller-based systems
  • At least 2 years of relevant engineering experience; fresh graduates with strong skills are welcome
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
