Engineer - ELV - Security Systems
Summary
Engineer and lead the installation, configuration, and compliance of CCTV, access control, and ELV security systems in Dubai, coordinating with authorities and stakeholders.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales & Project Support
Support pre-sales and project teams by conducting detailed site surveys for ELV, CCTV, and Access Control Systems (ACS).
Understand customer requirements, project scope, technical pre-requisites, and compliance needs.
Assist in project planning, execution strategy, and implementation methodology.
Project Planning & Execution
Plan and manage onsite implementation activities related to CCTV, ACS, and ELV systems.
Lead and supervise installation works for CCTV and Access Control systems at site.
Coordinate daily activities of onsite technicians, subcontractors, and labor teams to ensure timely execution.
Installation, Configuration & Commissioning
Lead installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of:
CCTV cameras (IP/Analog)
NVRs / VMS
Access Control panels, controllers, readers, locks
Interfaces, devices, and related accessories
Ensure systems are implemented as per approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
Training & Handover
Conduct end-user training on CCTV and Access Control systems.
Prepare and support system handover, as-built documentation, and operational guides.
SIRA Coordination & Compliance
Coordinate with relevant authorities for SIRA inspections.
Prepare and submit SIRA documentation including drawings, configurations, and compliance reports.
Lead the complete SIRA process from planning through inspection to final approval.
Address inspection comments and ensure successful approvals.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Strong knowledge of CCTV, Access Control Systems, and ELV technologies
Hands-on experience in configuration and commissioning of security systems
Good understanding of SIRA regulations and approval process
Strong site coordination and leadership skills
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (clients, authorities, subcontractors)
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Education / Experience Requirements
Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related field
SIRA certification (preferred)
3–7 years of experience in ELV / Security system projects in UAE
