Engineer I – Applications (MCU Technical Marketing) (New College Graduates)

Join the Technical Marketing team in the Microcontroller (MCU) Business Unit as an Applications Engineer I and help shape the content, demos, and technical materials that support innovative embedded solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a new graduate who is passionate about microcontrollers, enjoys hands-on engineering, and wants to build a strong foundation in both technical development and customer-facing applications work.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop high-quality technical content and collateral that help customers and internal teams understand and apply MCU solutions effectively.
  • Create demo applications, example projects, and getting-started guides that make it easier for developers to evaluate and use Microchip products.
  • Support product launches by contributing technical materials, application examples, and cross-functional collaboration that showcase product values.



Requirements/Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong foundation in microcontroller fundamentals and embedded systems concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with common lab equipment, including multimeters, power supplies, and logic analyzers.
  • Exposure to development tools and environments such as VS Code, MPLAB, or similar embedded software platforms.
  • Working knowledge of C programming for embedded applications.
  • Familiarity with Python for scripting and automation is an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Willingness to support technical video creation and, when needed, present technical content on camera.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working with remote teams and colleagues across global locations.
