Primary duties

  • Develop and update various project monitoring packages such as level 3 schedules, progress measurement system, project reporting systems, and invoicing systems.
  • Assimilate scope of work and conceive the project in terms of schedule.
  • Assist engineering and procurement disciplines in preparing micro schedules for technical document register deliverables and procurement tracking register milestones schedules, and provide input as required.
  • Prepare the construction activities schedule in consultation with the construction team.
  • Timely issue of quality project planning deliverables and progress reports.
  • Monitor the work in progress with respect to the approved schedules and milestones, and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
  • Review proposals from subcontractors on project execution and schedule.
  • Keep the Project Control Manager and Lead Planning Engineer appraised of the status and constraints.
  • Responsible for preparation and updating the commodity release plan and curve.
  • Identify and communicate potential schedule constraints to the proposal team to ensure bid clarifications.
  • Analyse and communicate to the Lead Project Control Engineer and Project Manager any major variance between the actual work in progress and the approved schedules across disciplines.
  • Post-award review of the contract for schedule and commercial parameters to validate and compare with the original submitted documents.
  • Participate in department development activities for continual improvement in the project control system and services.
  • Assist Senior Planning Engineer in schedule assurance and risk analysis process.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Head of Department.

Minimum requirements

Graduate Engineer with a minimum experience of 6-7 years, having experience in project controls. Knowledge of Primavera and engineering deliverable monitoring and procurement activities progress monitoring is required.
