Engineer III - Grave Shift (11pm-7am)
Position Summary: Rivers Casino is seeking a versatile and mechanically inclined individual to join our team as an Engineer III, responsible for performing essential preventative maintenance and repairs across the property. In this role, you will handle a diverse range of tasks—including plumbing, carpentry, and drywall repair.
Essential Job Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Replace damaged ceiling tiles, floor tiles, and wall coverings
- Perform preventative maintenance to equipment on a scheduled basis
- Handle routine calls, prioritized by guest service needs
- Plumbing, drywall repair, carpenter functions, special trade
- Maintain areas inside and outside of the casino and keep free of trash and debris
- Snow removal during winter months
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
- 1 year of experience in general maintenance procedures preferable
- Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot basic issues around the property
- Must be knowledgeable in building maintenance and able to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues around the property
- Must be able to lift up 50 pounds unassisted and have the ability to use ladders and lifts
- Must have a current valid driver’s license
- Driving record must meet driver eligibility requirements of Rivers Casino’s insurance policy
- Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects or assignments
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Ability to follow all policies and procedures, including, but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Continuously required to see, talk and hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel and to reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand and walk, pushing/pulling.
- Occasionally bend/stoop and kneel.
- Occasionally reaching waist to shoulder, knee to waist and floor to knee.
- Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
