Engineer (Industrial Machinery)
Summary
An electrical engineer conducts safety testing and compliance checks on industrial machinery against international standards, while expanding testing services and coordinating with clients and vendors.
You will be part of the Electrical and Electronic Test Centre that provides testing for Electrical and Electronic related products to ensure its compliance to international standards. Reporting to the Product Manager, you will support him to oversee the day-to-day testing operations and also be actively involved in expanding the business and developing new test services.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessment, safety evaluation, testing and inspection of machineries within quality parameters whilst conforming to international standards
- To interpret test methods/procedures and exercise sound judgement on the methodologies as well as results
- Proactive development of new testing services and capabilities
- Collaborate with vendors and other departments to resolve engineering issues or testing requirements
- Coordinate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to ensure smooth execution of projects
Key Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering discipline
- Familiarity with EN 60204-1 and/or ISO 12100 standards will be an added advantage
- Strong in project planning and coordinating work
- Result and service-oriented individuals that possesses high adaptability, initiative, analytical mindset, strong interpersonal and communication skills and sound business judgement/acumen
- Good network in the ASEAN machinery/robotics industry would be a plus point
- Occasional travelling may be required
