Job purpose

Coordinate and update pipelines integrity related procedures, coordinate the issue, update, and monitoring of the Pipeline Integrity Management Plan through Pipelines Integrity Management System (PIMS) including its monitoring in compliance with KPI’s. Assist in the implementation of company’s Asset Integrity Policy.

Job specific accountabilities

Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of the PIMS database and applications. Participate in the development and maintain a system/procedures for PIMS implementation and reporting/auditing.

  • Coordinate between Pipeline Integrity unit and Maintenance, Inspection, Operations for data gathering and data quality checks before updating to the pipeline database.
  • Coordinate the issuance and regular review/update of the written Integrity Management Plan (IMP) for all pipelines through the Pipelines Integrity Management System software solution, coordinate implementation of the Plan (IMP) and evaluate the effectiveness through verifications or audits.
  • Ensure regular updates of the required procedures for implementing the PIMS solution, coordinate risk assessments and threat analysis reviews for assigned pipeline segments to update the PIMS technical reference manuals.
  • Coordinate the integrity team efforts in operating, maintaining, and improving the PIMS software performance and data quality, and coordinate with GIS engineer and all disciplines for all new or modified assets to be entered in the central pipeline database.
  • Identify integrity related issues and coordinate their resolution internally or externally. Identify additional preventative and mitigation measures, determine IMP re-assessment intervals and methods for all pipeline segments.

Job specific accountabilities 2

  • Establish consistent, high pipeline integrity reporting formats and interface with other disciplines to resolve data interpretation challenges as they arise and solicit and synthesize their feedback on improvements, as applicable.
  • Coordinate the scope of work preparation for subject matter expertise (either through company technical services or external) and coordinate the commissioning of reports and follow up on recommendations implementation.
  • Coordinate the pipeline long term replacement plan with departments.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of incidents.
  • Coordinate the issuance of quarterly Integrity reports for Management and Shareholders and coordinate the gathering of data for the Division’s weekly integrity report.
  • Verify that ISO 9001-2008 system requirements are met and take necessary corrective actions.

Minimum qualification

Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgy Engineering.

Minimum experience, knowledge & skills

  • 6 years of experience in pipeline design, operations, and maintenance, within a large industrial organization, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical knowledge about pipeline risk management and analysis.
  • Good understanding of pipeline defect evaluations and repair.
  • Familiar with fitness for service assessments and recommendations.
  • Technical ability in understanding codes, standards, and inspection methods.
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures and practices.
  • Planning and organising, scheduling and coordinating, checking, examining, and recording.
