Engineer - Maintenance (Technical Writer)

A technical writer in the maintenance department of OceanaGold's Didipio gold-copper mine in the Philippines, producing SOPs, safe work instructions, and related technical documents to ensure safe, quality work execution. The Didipio mine is located on Luzon Island in the Philippines and is the Company’s only asset that produces both gold and copper. Didipio was built by OceanaGold in 2013 and operates fully as underground mine, with over 800 employees that support the mine.
OceanaGold is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Engineer - Maintenance (Technical Writer) to have properly formatted and detailed SOPs, SWIs and other documents on file to ensure work execution safety and quality.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Develop written safe working procedures (SOP), Safe Work Instructions (SWI) and other related technical documents for the maintenance department
- Ability to use word processing software (MS Word) and other documents development software to produce high standard documents

Educational Background: Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree
Work Experience and Background: Mining or other heavy industries
Knowledge: Technical knowledge of earthmoving, mining and minerals processing equipment maintenance techniques
Skills: Technical document writing
Abilities: Delivery of work as per deadlines, Multi tasking
