Engineer Manager

Responsibilities:

• Own the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of applications built using Golang and React.
• Lead system design and architectural discussions, evaluating trade-offs related to scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Guide backend development using Golang, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Oversee frontend development using React, TypeScript, and modern web application architectures.
• Stay technically engaged through design reviews, code reviews, debugging, and hands-on contribution when required.
• Take end-to-end ownership of delivery timelines, engineering quality, production reliability, and technical risks.
• Establish engineering best practices across automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, and production operations.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, platform teams, and Japan-based stakeholders to align technical decisions with business priorities.
• Mentor engineers, delegate effectively, and encourage independent technical ownership and accountability.
• Support hiring, performance management, and career development to build a strong engineering team.
• Drive continuous improvement in developer productivity, engineering workflows, and AI-assisted development practices.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in an engineering manager or equivalent technical leadership role.
• Strong backend engineering experience with Golang (Go) and designing production-grade applications.
• Strong frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.
