ENGINEER/SCIENTIST
This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The ND-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-14 and GS-15. You will serve as the Portfolio Lead for Long-Range Sensing Science and Technology (S&T) in the Electromagnetic & Sensor Systems Department, Electronic Warfare & Spectrum Operations Division, Advanced Electronic Warfare Prototyping Branch (Code B35) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.
You will oversee and grow a portfolio of science and technology efforts in support of long-range sensing objectives.
You will lead a team of scientists and engineers.
You will be actively involved in strategic planning and technology roadmapping to align science and technology development with warfighter needs and Department of Defense priorities.
You will propose research ideas and define and manage statements-of-work toward the development of new capabilities.
You will collaborate closely with external organizations to advance science and technology concepts and promote involvement of developmental systems in military exercises.
You will monitor research activity, evaluate technologies and products, and ensure strict adherence to security classification policy and guidance.
