Engineer – Test Engineering
Summary
Engineer provides technical support for semiconductor test equipment, troubleshooting and maintaining testers to improve production efficiency and quality in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for tester and interface installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve yield, quality, and overall operational efficiency
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and ensure smooth production transfers
- Collaborate with the Planning team to optimize tester utilization and meet shipment schedules
- Implement solutions to minimize downtime, prolong tester lifespan, and improve Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)
- Develop projects to enhance line productivity and cost reduction
- Partner with Equipment Engineers for engineering builds and OEM Field Service Engineers for complex repairs
- Guide and coach Associate Engineers (AEs) on troubleshooting and best practices
- Maintain detailed documentation and publish technical reports
- Ensure adherence to department standards for ESD, safety awareness, housekeeping, and plant work discipline
Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering or related discipline
- 3 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or semiconductor, environment
- Strong hardware troubleshooting and cross-functional communication skills
