What you will do. A glimpse into your role:
As an Application Support Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous evolution of our Traveller Solutions platforms. You'll act as a technical expert, service owner, and problem solver, helping deliver seamless experiences to millions of travelers and retail partners worldwide.
You will:
Provide 2nd level support for Global Blue's Traveller Solutions.
Become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a designated TravellerHost service, owning its operational knowledge and support lifecycle.
Monitor service health and enhance observability using tools such as Splunk.
Drive automation initiatives to improve deployments, maintenance activities, and operational efficiency.
Plan, document, and execute software releases and system changes across production and non-production environments.
Conduct impact assessments and support change management processes.
Collaborate with development teams and external partners to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and proactively drive problem management activities.
Create and maintain operational procedures, knowledge articles, support documentation, and runbooks.
Build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and maintain transparent communication during incidents and service changes.
Continuously improve monitoring, operational processes, and service reliability.

Skills
Required
Experience supporting business applications and services in medium to large-scale environments.
Strong knowledge of MS SQL querying and database management.
Experience supporting applications developed with: C#, .NET Core Web API, JavaScript, Angular, HTML, JSON, HTTPS.
Understanding of web servers, web services, and service-oriented architecture.
Experience collaborating with software development teams and external vendors.
Familiarity with monitoring and operational management tools, preferably Splunk.
Nice to Have
Experience with data engineering or data architecture, including SQL, ETL processes, SSAS/Analytics, or Azure Data Services and SAS ecosystem
ITIL certification.
Splunk certification.
Knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) technologies and transactional systems.
Scripting and automation experience using PowerShell, Python, Linux Shell similar technologies.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant experience will also be considered.
2-4 years of experience in application support, service operations, production support, or a similar role.
Experience with automation, deployment processes, release management, and configuration management.
Experience working within international and multicultural environments is highly valued.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Location & Work Setup:
We're looking for candidates who:
Have the legal right to work and are currently based in Slovakia or Austria.
Enjoy the balance of a hybrid working model and can travel to our Vienna office around three times a month for team collaboration and key meetings.
