Engineer – Wafer Sort Operation

Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance and technical support to ensure optimal performance of tester, prober, and probe card equipment
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement actions to minimize unscheduled downtime
  • Support product engineering teams in device failure and test-related debugging
  • Perform tester and prober hardware/software upgrades and configuration to meet wafer sort requirements.
  • Support tester, prober, and probe card buy-off and verification to ensure equipment performance and quality
  • Verify tester configurations based on device requirements and maintain accurate equipment records
  • Review new product requirements and ensure appropriate equipment and probe card requirements are met
  • Support equipment breakdown recovery, preventive maintenance, calibration, and other sustaining activities to maintain equipment performance and OEE
  • Work with internal equipment engineering teams and vendors on technology development and equipment capability improvement
  • Provide guidance and coaching to technicians and Associate Engineers
  • Investigate production abnormalities and quality issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Support customer-related issues by working with Quality teams to trace affected lots and identify root causes
  • Review and update equipment PFMEA based on new products, equipment modifications, and process changes
  • Drive equipment and process improvements with cross-functional teams to prevent recurrence and reduce human error
  • Support continuous improvement activities to improve equipment reliability, production capacity, quality, and operational performance

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing, preferably in Wafer Sort
  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
