Say HI* – to your career as

Engineering Delivery Manager

As the Engineering Delivery Manager (EDM), you are the technical manager of the project, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of complex engineering systems. You will orchestrate multi-disciplinary teams, enforce best-in-class processes, and drive strategic alignment between technical execution and business objectives.

Your mission is built in three pillars:

Excellence – Upholding world-class technical standards and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Discipline – Structuring workflows, mitigating risks, and maintaining unwavering focus on cost/schedule/quality.

Leadership – Inspiring teams, fostering collaboration, and steering stakeholders toward shared success.

Key responsibilities:

1. Strategic Technical Leadership

  • Define and own the engineering delivery strategy, ensuring alignment with project constraints and Thales’ global standards.
  • Develop a clear roadmap for engineering activities, balancing innovation with practical execution.
  • Champion Agile and process-driven methodologies, tailoring them to maximize efficiency and quality.

2. Execution with Discipline

  • Break down project scope into actionable work packages, allocating resources, budgets, and timelines while proactively managing risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor progress with data-driven KPIs, ensuring transparency and timely adjustments to stay on track.
  • Guarantee technical compliance: Verify that all designs (hardware/software) meet functional requirements and specifications without compromise.

3. Stakeholder & Team Leadership

  • Unify cross-functional teams (engineers, subcontractors, customers) under a shared vision, fostering accountability, trust, and collaboration.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for the project managers, and design authorities, translating complex challenges into clear action plans.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, providing constructive feedback and supporting their growth within Thales’ competency frameworks.

4. Financial & Risk Management

  • Oversee the financial health of technical activities, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Anticipate and mitigate risks (technical, schedule, cost) with proactive contingency planning.
  • Create a competitive advantage by managing risk, identifying opportunities and fostering continuous improvement
