Since 1983, Nuove Energie has developed and manufactured stainless steel wastewater filtration equipment in Vicenza, Italy, with thousands of Conoscreen® and Ultrascreen® disk filters installed worldwide. This includes 100+ references across the US and Canada, supported by our local sales and service team since 2019. In 2026, The Trentar Group acquired the business to form Nuove H2O, its global water platform for new technologies.
THE POSITION
As Engineering Director, you will be a working leader for our Americas business, which today serves the US and Canada. You will personally handle engineering, project management, and applications engineering while overseeing our service team and building out these functions as we grow. You will also help shape our products, working with our international engineering teams to adapt and develop solutions for local market requirements. As we grow organically and through acquisitions, you will bring new products and applications to market.
With sales and service at the core of our regional business, you will work directly with clients, and a customer-focused approach is essential. For a leader who enjoys teamwork and building an organization, the role offers broad responsibilities from day one with plenty of room to grow.
YOUR ROLE
- Lead engineering, applications engineering, and project management hands-on while building the team.
- Help shape our products for local codes, standards, and customer requirements, working with our international engineering colleagues to adapt existing designs and introduce new products and applications.
- Oversee the existing service team and help expand our aftermarket and service business.
- Deliver projects from order through startup, on time and within budget.
- Develop domestic manufacturing partnerships and QA/QC for Build America, Buy America (BABA) projects.
- Support sales and our representatives with technical expertise on equipment selection and proposals.
- Lead our regional pilot program and represent Nuove H2O at industry conferences.
- Serve as the technical lead for the Americas, collaborating closely with our international teams.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering. A master’s degree or PE license is an advantage, but not required.
- 7+ years of water or wastewater engineering experience with an equipment manufacturer, representative firm, consulting firm, contractor, or utility.
- Proven experience in team building and project management, with a hands-on style.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
